Tatiana Calderón’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship campaign continues this weekend as she tackles the legendary Sebring 12 Hours for the first time.
After a frustrating but encouraging Rolex 24 at Daytona season opener in January, Tatiana returns to the cockpit of Gradient Racing’s Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 for what will be her debut at historic Sebring, which plays host to the second-longest race on the schedule.
The talented Colombian will share a car with her fellow female racers Katherine Legge and Sheena Monk for the second of the five long-distance races that make up the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, with Watkins Glen, Indianapolis and Road Atlanta still to come.
While illness compromised Tatiana’s build-up to the Rolex 24, this time the Colombian goes into race week with a full test under her belt, giving her a valuable chance to get up to speed with Sebring’s challenging 6.019km track layout that features a mixture of asphalt and concrete and is notorious for being one of the bumpiest circuits in the world.
Gradient’s Acura will be one of 22 cars entered in the GTD Daytona class, and after the team showed promising speed at Daytona before encountering mechanical issues, Tatiana is hoping that a similarly strong performance this weekend could put her and her teammates Legge and Monk into contention for a podium finish.

Tatiana is not a stranger to the legendary circuit as she took her first single seater victory in the Florida Winter Series organized by the Ferrari Driver Academy back in 2014 competing against drivers like Max Verstappen, Lance Stroll, Nicholas Latifi among others.
Tatiana Calderón: “I’m looking forward to being back in action this weekend at Sebring, especially as Daytona already feels like it was a long time ago! We tested there a couple weeks ago, it’s a very challenging circuit with a lot of changes in the track surface, so it was really good to get a feel for the car over the bumps. It was also my first real test with the team and car, so I think I understood a lot of things. We will have to see where we stand with the BoP, which will be different from Daytona, and the weather looks like it will be different too, as it is probably going to be a very hot, physical race. Hopefully we can show more of the potential we showed at Daytona, and because it’s just me, Katherine and Sheena this time, it’s an all-female line-up, which also makes it a good chance to show what we can do. Thanks to all my sponsors for their support, and I can’t wait for the weekend to start.”
